I really thought your input about Fresh Expressions/Pioneer Ministry was really helpful! Some of the clearest and most helpful input on all things FExp I’ve heard over the past 4 years! I also really liked your willingness to learn – it was obvious to me this wasn’t just rhetoric but a genuine keenness to broaden your own thinking and approach. I found it refreshing!

Just want to thankyou for your sessions in Sydney with the UCA. I’ve been on this journey (of trying to help the church become something authentic and relevant for today) for quite some years now. On that journey I’ve attended a number of conferences that have simply told us we need to change – less than helpful. You’re presentations however, were helpful in a number of ways for me. It was fabulous to hear about what’s happening in the Fresh Expressions stuff coming out of the UK, and it confirmed to me the need for support of change ‘from the top’.
I found a couple of your metaphors extremely helpful – especially the road vs the sea journey. Thanks too for your generosity in sharing your powerpoints. I think more than anything else you re-inspired me. Sometimes it feels like hitting your head against the wall constantly but you showed us that change can happen – yeh!!
